Dr. David A. Blaine, Optometrist

Dr. Blaine is originally from Winnipeg, Manitoba but moved to Calgary in 1976. After completing his degree at the University of Waterloo in 1989, he returned to South Calgary to practice optometry. In 1991, he purchased the Claresholm office and continues to enjoy supporting the citizens and businesses of that community. In 2006, Dr. Blaine opened Bridlewood Eye Care. He greatly appreciates the ongoing support from both former and new patients in the South Calgary area. Dr. Shikha Garg, Optometrist

Dr. Garg attended the University of Calgary for three years, where she worked in health sciences and conducted research on myopia (near-sightedness). In 2002, she had the opportunity to present her research at the ARVO conference in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. This experience perked her interest in visual science and, following her desire to become involved in health care, Dr. Garg pursued a degree in Optometry. She attended the University of Waterloo and graduated in 2007 with honours. Dr. Stuart Schroeder, Optometrist

Dr. Stuart Schroeder grew up on a farm outside the small town of Beaverlodge in Northern Alberta. He then went on to attend the University of Alberta before graduating from the University of Waterloo School of Optometry and Vision Science on the Dean’s Honor List. During his training he completed several externships including one at OMNI Eye Specialists in Baltimore,specializing in ocular disease and therapeutics. Dr. Seija Roggeveen, Optometrist

Dr. Seija Roggeveen was born and raised in Calgary and completed her Bachelor of Science at Mount Royal University with minors in both chemistry and psychology. You may recognize her at Bridlewood Eye Care since she worked as an Optometric Assistant throughout her undergraduate studies. She graduated with her Doctor of Optometry degree from the University of California, Berkeley School of Optometry and had the opportunity during her studies to complete externship rotations at the veteran’s clinics in Washington and in Arizona.
