Dr. Seija Roggeveen, Optometrist


Dr. Seija Roggeveen was born and raised in Calgary and completed her Bachelor of Science at Mount Royal University with minors in both chemistry and psychology. You may recognize her at Bridlewood Eye Care since she worked as an Optometric Assistant throughout her undergraduate studies. She graduated with her Doctor of Optometry degree from the University of California, Berkeley School of Optometry and had the opportunity during her studies to complete externship rotations at the veteran’s clinics in Washington and in Arizona. In her free time Dr. Roggeveen enjoys travelling, running, and watching documentaries. Dr. Roggeveen is excited to be back at Bridlewood Eye Care!

Effective March 19 2020, we have cancelled all appointments until further notice. We will be contacting you to re-schedule these appointment once we have information on when we can re-open and that it is safe to do so.

In the meantime, we are available for emergency treatment such as trauma, foreign body removal, conjunctivitis, broken glasses, ordering contacts, etc. If you are unsure if your situation qualifies as an emergency, please feel free to contact us at 403-873-2123 or by emailing For now, we are open M-F, 12-5pm.

Please do not go to the hospital or urgent care for emergencies without discussing with us first, unless it is a sight threatening emergency. Hospitals are not equipped to deal with ocular emergencies. You are our patients and our responsibility and we will take care of you.

We will continue to follow AHS guidelines. We are closely monitoring and ensuring that the health and well-being of our patients, staff and doctors remains at the forefront. Please continue to take care of yourself and each other.
